Mission description

Job Purpose
Ensure inventory balances with quantities and location as indicated by the WMS.
Job Function:
AGL South Africa
• Manage system vs actual inventory accuracy.
• Daily cycle counts conducted, and reporting is done on inventory accuracy.
• Ensure first pick availability by ensuring stock location and quantities are correct on the system.
• Monitor stock movement by ensuring departments are recording stock movements in the system.
• Ensure stock is in correct locations to optimise picking and material flows.
• Ensure stock counts are conducted as per company and customer requirements.
• Ensure inventory balances between customer system and Materials Management WMS
• Take action to minimise inventory losses and liabilities associated therewith.
• Ensure VAS (Value Added Service) team is managed including Kitting for specified customers.
• Ensure first pick availability by ensuring stock location and quantities are correct on the system.
• Monitoring of stock movement through the facility by ensuring various departments are recording stock movements in the system.
• Ensure stock is in locations to optimise picking and material flow through the warehouse.
• Conduct regular ABC analysis in order to achieve outcome mentioned desired outcome.
• Ensure Cycle Counts are conducted daily and reporting is done on inventory accuracy.
• Ensure stock counts are conducted as per company and customer requirements.
• Ensure all inventory accuracy targets are met and reported on.
• Ensure inventory match between customer system and AGL WMS, and report on any discrepancies.
• Take actions to minimise inventory losses and the liability associated therewith.
• Ensure that all staff reporting to him/her adhere to the operating procedures and KPi's.
• Compile daily KPI reports on activities in the respective area.
• Ensure that all staff are sufficiently trained and versed in the operation of the system, scanners and processes as required.
• Manage manpower requirements and productivity effectively and avoid unnecessary over time.
• Maintain staff discipline.
• Optimise workload and staff numbers.
• Staff are developed and mentored accordingly to the agreed plan.
• Leave plan compiled to optimize workload and performance.
• Labour staff inducted.
• Timekeeping managed.
• Customer queries resolved.
• Damaged stock inspected and reported as required.
• Warehouse equipment serviced & maintained to required standards.
• Any other tasks as deemed necessary by management.
• Must be available to work overtime when required.
• Must be available for periodic stock takes (compulsory)
• Attend daily toolbox talks.
• Housekeeping
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness (Clean Aisle Policy)
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.

Profile

Performance Measurement:
• Conduct regular ABC analysis to achieve outcome mentioned above.
• Ensure all inventory accuracy targets are met and reported on
• Compile daily KPI reports on activities in the respective area.
Damages & Claims:
• Claims investigations and resolutions.
• Damaged stock inspected and reported as required.
Staff:
• Ensure all staff reporting to him/her adhere to operating procedures and KPI's.
• Ensure that staff are mentored accordingly to agreed plans, trained and knowledgeable in the operation of the system, scanners and processes.
• Effectively supervise manpower requirements and productivity
• Avoid unnecessary over time and optimise workloads and staff numbers.
• Maintain staff discipline.
• Leave plan to be compiled to optimize workload and performance.
• Timekeeping to be effectively managed.
Communication and Reporting:
• Report discrepancies (damages, short/over)
• Supervise 999 reports for picking differences.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, management and the Client.
• Microsoft proficient
QHSE:
• Ensure housekeeping is completed in your environment or as per requirements.
• Ensure all health and safety and environmental requirements are adhered to, or as per OHS Act and Company rules on site.
• 6S in your environment
• Any other reasonable task required by Client or Supervisor/Manager
• Wear the proper safety equipment.
• No cell phones, electronic devices or loose jewellery on the floor

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Matric
• Minimum 2 years' experience in warehouse environment
• Certificate in Stock Control / Inventory
