Mission description

The Deployment Officer (DO) plays a key role in the successful rollout of Drive Transport Management System across countries. Acting as a
local execution backbone, the DO bridges business teams, Key Users, and the Central Project Team to ensure solution readiness, effective training, and smooth Go-live adoption.
The role combines business and solution expertise, training delivery, testing coordination, and post-Go-live support, with a strong focus on user enablement and deployment quality.
Based in Nairobi and reporting to the Drive Central Deployment team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:-
1 .Deployment Preparation
1.1 Build strong knowledge of DRIVE solutions, processes, and deployment methodology
1.2 Support local deployment preparation and prerequisites phase
1.3 Enable and coordinate DRIVE local template completion
1.4 Prepare Key User onboarding, training, and deployment readiness activities

2.Test & Validation
2.1 Coordinate Key Users during test definition and execution
2.2 Consolidate test plans and ensure business critical scenarios are prioritized
2.3 Identify risks, defects, and readiness gaps impacting deployment
2.4 Ensure test environments (data, access, tools) are ready
2.5 Contribute to Go/No-Go assessment through test and readiness insights

3Training & Change Enablement
3.1 Adapt and deliver training materials for Key Users and End Users
3.2 Deliver solution training prior to Go-live
3.3 Work closely with Change Relay and Training Coordinator to ensure user readiness and adoption.

4 Go-Live & Hypercare
4.1 Provide Level 2 functional support during hypercare
4.2 Ensure proper usage and prioritization of ticketing tools and escalation to Central Team (Level 3)
Sensitivity: Internal
4.3 Enable Key Users to progressively take ownership of local support
4.4 Deliver additional training as needed post Go-live

Profile

1. Strong understanding of logistics and/or finance business processes (5 years' experience on legacies)
2. Experience with IT solutions and digital tools; TMS knowledge is a plus
3. Proven experience in training delivery and change management
4. Project management experience
5.Strong command of Microsoft O365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
6. PROSCI certification

Flexible to travel across AGL Africa countries for training, Go-live, and support
