Mission description
The Financial Controller will play a hybrid role combining FP&A responsibilities with traditional financial controlling tasks. This position is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the Kigali Shared Service Center (KSSC), while also managing intercompany invoicing and receivables tracking across the group. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting/advisory firms or within a multinational corporate environment, demonstrating strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the
KSSC.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with group
objectives.
- Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
- Develop financial models to support decision-making and cost optimization.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management
reports.
- Monitor compliance with IFRS and group accounting policies.
- Provide detailed analysis of KSSC performance and recommend corrective
actions where needed.
Controlling & Intercompany Management:
- Manage invoicing for services provided by the KSSC to other entities within the
group.
- Track and reconcile intercompany receivables and ensure timely collections.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes for the KSSC.
- Challenge and provide KPIs for all departments in KSSC.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
- Implement best practices in reporting, forecasting, and intercompany
transactions.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
Stakeholder Management: ·
- Act as a key liaison between the KSSC and group entities for financial matters.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure
transparency.
- Support cross-functional projects and provide financial insights to business
leaders.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.

Profile
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; professional
certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) is a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, controlling, or audit within an
advisory firm or multinational corporation.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
(IFRS preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or
similar).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, shared service environment and manage multiple
priorities.
- Fluency in English, French, and Kinyarwanda is preferred.
