Mission Description                      

Job Purpose:
• Protect and grow Key Accounts
• Ensure Key Account customer satisfaction
• Grow AGL's market share and gross margin objectives

 

Profile

Job Function:

• Manage the key accounts effectively through multi-level customer contact
o Strategic
o Tactical
• Set annual budgets for Key Accounts in line with company budget
• Act as AGL's main entry point for nominated key accounts
• Consolidate and update customer information (decision makers, influencers, volume potential, incumbents, industry challenges / opportunities, strategic expectation)
• Develop AGL's market share and profitability through customers' operations across the network
• Develop and implement the customer business plan
• Review AGL's performance and quality indicators with the customer
• Coordinate customer business plan through Global and Regional teams across the network
• Lead direct sales / growth / retention actions with identified customers
• Define operational and pricing procedures and implement with relevant front, middle and back-office teams
• Provide Client Specific reporting (if and when required) in conjunction with the Customer Business Solutions (CBS) team:
o Lead monthly Customer Performance Reviews
o Assist CBS with KPI analysis and reporting
o Assist CBS with Financial analysis
• Monthly / Weekly Internal Business Reporting:
o Report on weekly activities in CRM:
o Financial:
 Track actual Gross Margin per client vs Budget
 Explain increase / decrease in Gross Margin
o Opportunities:
 Identify account growth opportunities
o Clients under threat:
 Identify and explain clients under threat
o Lost business:
 Identify and explain lost business
• Day to day account management:
o Support with operational query resolution
o Support with collecting outstanding payments from allocated client base
• Tenders / RFQ's / Estimate requests:
o Support with tenders / pricing requests for allocated clients in conjunction with the Customer Service Support (CSS) team.
o Lead tenders and participate in sign-off with respective Middle Office parties
o Participate in the design and presentation of tenders to customers with support from the necessary departments
• New / Extension business:
o Identify new business and / or extension business opportunities within existing or prospective customer base

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Matric
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Finance or related discipline is preferred
• 5 years Industry related experience
• Knowledge: Must be able to offer end-to-end supply chain solutions
