To ensure Treasury aspects are updated timeously. Figures are accurately reported. Expenses are captured timeously.

o Treasury - Releasing of daily payments
o BALSA & AGL Terminals Accounting & Payroll recons
o BALSA & AGL Terminals Expenses
o BALSA & AGL Terminals VAT Returns & Taxes
o BALSA & AGL Terminals Audits
o BALSA & AGL Terminals Budgets

 

Profile

Job Function:
• Treasury (AGLSA/BAL SA/PEM/AVI/Namibia/Botswana/AGL Terminals)
o Releasing of daily payments

• BALSA & AGL Terminals Accounting
o Recording entries and reviewing of balance sheet
o Preparing of COD payment for expenses
o Recording entries and Reviewing of P&L
o Monthly Provisions & Accruals
o Month End balancing: Operational vs Accounting
o Month End balancing: CR vs DR vs TB vs P&L
o Revaluation
o Distributing of Gross Margin
o Payroll Recon
o Review Creditors Age Analysis/Ledger monthly prior to closing
o Review of disbursements & action where required
o Risk & Reserves Preparation

• BALSA & AGL Terminals Expenses
o Capturing expenses (to ensure all supporting documentation attached as well as approval)
o Preparing of COD payment for expenses
o Preparing of Monthly Creditor Recon payments
o Signing of Supplier Recons/COD payments

• BALSA & AGL Terminals VAT Returns & Taxes
o VAT Return Journals & Preparation
o Submission on e-filing
o VAT & Reasonability
o Recon Total Sales vs Returns
o Ensure that all statutory returns are submitted and payment made such as VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, PENSION FUND etc
o Liaise with Tax authorities and or auditors on any issues

• BALSA & AGL Terminals Audits
Annual YE audit:
• Preparation of working papers and schedules required by auditors during interim & final year end audit
• Dealing with all audit queries
VAT Audit
• Prepare & submit workings & supporting documentation when audit for VAT

• BALSA & AGL Terminals Budgets
o Preparation budget working papers such as P&L Expenses

• ADHOC duties


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Matric
• Computer Literate
• Excel
• Accounting Knowledge

Requirements: Other
• Good people and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to handle pressure
• Must be able to use own initiative
