Mission Description
Key Responsibilities
• Processing of AP overhead expense invoices using the accounting system.
• Processing / matching of AP invoices using the Operational system – Group companies to be done in JHB
• Prepare supplier reconciliations.
• Assist with facilitation of opening supplier accounts.
• Assist with handling of petty cash.
• Prepare EFT requisitions – file related invoices and overhead expense invoices.
• Ordering of offices supplies (office supplies/tea/coffee/milk/stationery/cleaning materials etc.)
• Purchase order issuing for overhead expenses
• Allocate ledger accounts in SUN, balance sheet and suppliers.
• Filing as per office policy / according to CAT report for ease of reference when doing VAT audits.
• Assist with preparing documentation for VAT audits with Ministry of Finance (MoF).
• Communicate all queries to management timeously and in writing.
• Follow up on all open supplier invoices not yet cleared in the Operational system.
• Ad Hoc duties as assigned by the reporting supervisor/manager.
• Prepare provisions and prepaid expense journals for upload
• Support treasury and disbursement activities through the preparation of payment schedules, verification of banking details, and monitoring of approved payment runs.
• Perform ad hoc finance, treasury, and administrative duties as assigned by the reporting supervisor or manager
• Load bank payments, Treasury Uploads, Daily bank balances, Expense Claims and Petty Cash allocations
Profile
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Grade 12.
• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or a related field will be advantageous.
• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and financial systems.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Administration, or a similar finance environment.
• Basic understanding of treasury, cash management, and payment disbursement processes.
• Ability to operate independently with limited supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
