Mission description
To pack/unpack/load/offload cargo into/onto/from containers and trucks respectively with a forklift whose lift capacity is not greater than the one stipulated on your current forklift driver's license
Profile
Job Function:
• Completion of the daily machine inspection report with accurate and honest information,
• Ensure the safety of company buildings, customers cargo and employees at all time when driving,
• Only drive when instructed to do so be either the warehouse Supervisor, Tally Clerk and or Warehouse Manager,
• First obtain accurate information on which cargo is to be moved before lifting,
• Understand the customer requirements/SOP with regards to handling,
• Report all defects/damages of cargo, equipment, containers and trucks to the Warehouse Supervisor, Tally Clerks and or Warehouse Manager,
• Ensure the area you are driving on is free from diesel, oil and any other spillage which can cause an unsafe condition,
• Never drive recklessly (fast and dangerously) as it is against our company rules and regulations
• Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with 0 Standards.
• Ensure safe stacking of cargo.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Any other work given by the supervisor or manager.
• Supply of accurate verbal info

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Grade 12
• 2.5 to 3 ton Forklift license
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
• Familiarity with material handling and radio frequency equipment is needed.
