Mission description

The overall purpose of the role is to support the implementation of QHSE Management Systems in compliance with Company, National and International Standards in the Nairobi head office.
1. QMS Functions

1.1 Lead the functions of establishing, implementing & maintaining the QMS as per the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
1.2 Ensure the implementation of the Quality Policy across all functions of the organization
1.3 Support and guide all functions of the organization by developing and implementing the required quality procedures, work instructions & forms for QMS.
1.4 Ensure all managers understand Company's Quality responsibilities as required by Company Policy, Customer's contractual requirements and
Statutory Legislation and ensure compliance.
1.5 Develop internal Quality audits schedules, plans and ensure timely closure of Nonconformance raised to acceptable level by management.

2. HSE Functions

2.1 Ensure identification, monitoring and review of relevant OSH & Environmental Act requirements.
2.2 Ensure the implementation of the HSE Policy across all functions of the organization.
2.3 Support & guide all functions of the organization in implementing the required HSE procedures, work instructions & forms.
2.4 Ensure all departments have identified, communicated & mitigated of hazards at the workplace.
2.5 Ensure proper housekeeping in the warehouses, yard & offices.
2.6 Ensure firefighting equipment is regularly serviced & maintained.

3. Facilities Maintenance

3.1 Ensure identification, monitoring and review of relevant Facilities statutory requirements.
3.2 Develop a schedule of facility building & equipment that require regular maintenance.
4. Systems administration
4.1 Carry out B connected & B Excellent management roles: set proper deployment to safe guard integrity of information stored, create new users, and manage messaging & reminders.
4.2 Document control: Ensure all documents are uploaded & current i.e. polices manuals, procedures, work instructions & forms.
4.3 Improvement Actions: Create & manage audit actions and templates for raising & resolving all types of non-conformities.
4.4 Audit: manage all stages of any audit occurring in the organization internal and external audits as well as client audits.

5. SEDEX, URSA, TRACE Administration

5.1 Ensure identification, implementation and monitoring of the SMETA, URSA & TRACE pillars.
5.2 Update the above information in the platforms
5.3 Coordinate audits by external auditors
5.4 Follow up results of audit and ensure findings are registered and closed out and support other sites concerned




Profile

1. Bachelors degree in a Science related Field
2. Working knowledge of Management Systems e.g. QMS ISO 9001, EMS ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
3. Hands on experience handling internal and external audits
