Mission Description
Supervise and coordinate all coffee processing activities to ensure customer instructions are executed accurately, safely, efficiently and within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Plan and supervise daily coffee processing activities based on approved customer instructions and operational priorities.
2. Verify that the correct coffee lot, marks, bags and quantities are presented before processing begins.
3.Ensure processing is carried out strictly according to approved customer instructions.
4. Allocate labour, machinery and processing areas according to workload and track overtime.
5. Monitor output against daily production targets and immediately address delays or bottlenecks.
6. Coordinate equipment availability with maintenance teams.
7. Maintain accurate processing records.
8. Prepare a daily processing report highlighting production achieved, outstanding jobs, equipment downtime, labour utilization, losses/variances and issues requiring management intervention.
9. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S.
10. Conduct daily toolbox/shift briefings.
11. Identify opportunities to improve processing efficiency and turnaround time.
12. Provide accurate information for job costing and productivity analysis.
13. Maintain clear identification and segregation of coffee throughout the processing cycle.
14. Train employees on SOPs, product handling and equipment operation.
15. Ensure processed coffee is formally handed back to warehouse inventory control after completion
Profile
• Experience in coffee warehousing, milling, processing or export operations.
• Knowledge of green coffee grades and handling requirements.
• HSE, food safety, quality-management or 5S training.
• Experience working with warehouse management or ERP systems.
