Mission description

HR Officer/ Business Partner will provide comprehensive HR support and strategic business partnership to the management and employees. The HR Officer/Business Partner will contribute to the alignment of HR practices with business objectives and help drive a positive organizational culture. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of labor laws, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development within the context of Zimbabwe.

Job Function:
Employee Relations & Performance Management
• Act as a trusted HR Business Partner, supporting managers and staff across the organization.
• Provide guidance and support in handling employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with Zimbabwean labor laws.
• Assist in the development and implementation of performance management strategies, including performance appraisals, feedback, and improvement plans.
• Facilitate employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to improve workplace satisfaction and productivity.
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job advertisements, interview coordination, candidate assessments, and offers of employment.
• Collaborate with line managers to understand staffing requirements and ensure that talent acquisition strategies align with business needs.
• Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the company.

• Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate with departments to organize training and development programs.
• Assist in developing career progression and succession planning strategies, ensuring the continued growth of talent within the organization.
Policy & Compliance
• Ensure that all HR policies and procedures comply with Zimbabwean labor laws and industry best practices.
• Monitor adherence to company policies and contribute to the creation of new policies that enhance business performance and employee well-being.
• Advise management on HR-related legal requirements, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.

• Assist with salary benchmarking and ensure the company's compensation and benefits packages are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
• Support the HR team in administering employee benefits and providing guidance on employee compensation and rewards

• Support organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, new systems, or processes to align with business strategy.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on HR business partnering, employee relations, recruitment, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean labor laws, HR best practices, and local market trends.
