Mission description
1. Physical customs processing:
Collection of original shipping documents from the airline handlers
Compile documents after entry capturing for physical customs processing
Liase with the incharge customs for allocations of verification officers
Represent the importer and AGL at physical verification and ensure timely uploading of verification account onto the system
Re-seal the packages to avoid incidents of missing items
Update the customer service team on progress pertaining physical handling of goods
Follow up releases from NDA, MAAIF and UNBS authorities
Ensure timely scanning of cargo prior to attaining Customs Exit note
Processing cargo handling invoices with airline agents (Menzies and DAS) on AGL behalf
Advise the COM on type of trucks needed for a particular job based on the sight report
Coordinate with transporters on positioning trucks in the loading area
Ensure the correct cargo is released from the customs warehouse per entry
Witness cargo loading on the trucks and ensure no damages during loading
Do verification at delivery desk incase of any checks by security or customs officers
Notify the COM about any claims or shortages and attain a report from handlers
Write the delivery notes in line with company guidelines and give to transporters
Seal the trucks and dispatch from airport
Anyother assigned duties by the manager
2. Check documentation
Control at each step that all relevant documentation or exemptions is attached to minimise customs delays
Attain T1 for transit goods and ensure departed in the system.
Ensure a full set of documents accompanies every shipment for delivery to customers.
Place all documentation in the file folder, close and forward to the COM
3. Alert/Inform Management
Alert management in case of operational issues (significant or not)
Inform management of any information relevant to our business activity or environment
Update changes pertaining to airport operations.

• At least 2 years' experience in clearing operations
