Mission description
Job Purpose:
Implement, nurture and grow Control Tower Projects. Ensure customer satisfaction, increase AGL's market share and gross margin objectives.
Profile
Job Function:
• Oversee the Operations of the Control Tower accounts
• Develop and sustain solid relationships with the Control Tower Key Clients
• Manage and maintain new business implementation in the Control Tower
• Contribute to yearly Budget preparation + various YEF reports
• Monitor weekly achievement of GM target
• Ensure accurate and timely billing to customers
• Advocate continues improvement methodologies and tools across the Control
Tower
• Provide day to day direction and employment of solutions to ensure best
quality of service
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and
techniques to deliver productive KPI reports and meetings to/with customers
• Ascertain customer goals and translate them into implementation plans,
SOP's and workflow organization
• Oversee the Control Tower Project Supervisors, guide, coach and develop
them to manage their own Teams
• Provide support in operational and pricing procedures and exercise authority
over agencies to have them applied
• Provide Client Specific reporting (when required) in conjunction with the CBS
team:
Assist CBS with Performance Reviews
Assist CBS with KPI analysis and reporting
• Tenders / RFQ's / Estimate requests:
Support with tenders / pricing requests for the Projects in conjunction with
Africa Tender Desk
Support with Spot Bids/once off quotation requests
• New / Extension business:
Interact with Sales on potential new business and / or extension business
opportunities
Decide when to hand over opportunities and when to develop yourself
• Achieve Existing Business Growth and New Business Targets
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Relevant qualification
• 3-5 years Control Tower environment working experience
• Must be able to offer end-to-end supply chain solutions
• Diverse knowledge and experience in all modes of transport
• Experience in Sales & Customer service
• Ability to monitor and maintain budgets
• Experience in sourcing and composing competitive and reliable Tenders and
quotations
• Solid Knowledge and experience pertaining Invoicing and general admin
• Ability to manage multiple projects with individual needs and adhere to
different Service Level Agreements
• Direct customer facing and implementation delivery experience
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies and convert them into
customer-oriented solutions
• Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Experience managing others including contractors and suppliers
