Mission description

Job Purpose:
To ensure the correct cargo information, item count and all other relevant info is accurately counted and recorded onto all dispatching documents to ensure inventory accuracy, stock control and service levels

 

Profile

Job Function:
• Ensure the following responsibilities are in observance with the Outbound procedure as per SOP:
• Outgoing Materials
• Materials Counting
• Outgoing Packaging
• Scrap Execution
• Check the correct cargo is dispatched as per the customers instructions
• Report all discrepancies and or damages to the supervisor/manager
• Accurately record product information, freight tons, total count, date, time, duration in hours for men and machine on all warehouse documents.
• Sign the tally sheets' acknowledging the correct information and count is recorded and hand it to the Supervisor.
• Work according to set SOP's and safety standards to maintain and improve customer service levels and productivity
• Ensure the clients are serviced in such a manner that more business in other areas (modes of transport) and other routes are considered by clients
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations
• Ensure that AGL portrays a professional and friendly image to all clients
• Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager

Customer Service:
• Supplying accurate info, speedily, first time whether verbal or written to both internal and external customers, 100% stock inventory,
Resources:
• Men – discipline,
• Machines – productive usage,
• Accurate and honest recordings of all work completed.

Measurements:
The accuracy of all verbal and or written information.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Computer literacy
• SHEQ understanding
Core Competencies:
• Good communication skills,
• Control of resources when tallying,
• Productivity with regards to planned work/time frame,
• Attention to detail and accurate information,
• Health and Safety,
• Accurate freight calculations.
