Join AGL's Group Internal Control team, the leading multimodal logistics operator on the African continent.
This position is based in Kigali, Rwanda, and requires travel across Africa approximately 50% of the time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Group Internal Control team currently consists of eight members and reports directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Based between the Group headquarters in Puteaux, France, and Kigali, Rwanda, the team conducts on-site assignments to assess the effectiveness of the internal control framework across all Group subsidiaries.
As part of its continued growth, AGL is establishing an additional Internal Control team in Rwanda. This team will work closely with the headquarters team to carry out joint assignments throughout the African continent.
As a member of the team, your main responsibilities will include:
• Participating in internal control reviews and audit assignments across AGL subsidiaries (covering approximately 200 entities, primarily located in Africa).
• Assessing risks and recommending improvements to the Group's internal control framework, including governance, self-assessment campaigns, methodologies, tools, and related processes.
• Supporting subsidiaries in implementing the Group's anti-corruption framework in compliance with the requirements of the French Sapin II Law, particularly regarding the accounting controls pillar.
• Leading or contributing to other internal control and process improvement projects as requested by management, including:
o Due diligence assignments related to acquisitions;
o Fraud investigations and audits;
o Other ad hoc internal control initiatives.

Profile

You hold a Master's degree (Master's level/Bac+5) in Internal Control, Audit, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification in accounting, auditing, or internal control (such as Chartered Accountancy or an equivalent certification) would be an advantage.
You have at least four years of experience in auditing within an audit or consulting firm.
You possess:
• Strong knowledge of internal control standards and frameworks;
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
You also demonstrate the following qualities:
• Strong team spirit;
• Ability to work independently;
• Accuracy and attention to detail;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Adaptability;
• Strong coaching and communication abilities;
• Diplomacy.
You are comfortable working in a multicultural environment undergoing continuous transformation.
Professional proficiency in English is essential for this role.
A genuine interest in business transformation tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, would be considered a strong asset.
This position is based in Kigali, Rwanda, and requires frequent travel across Africa (approximately 50% of the time).
