Mission Description                      

Job Purpose:
Responsible for reviewing, analysing, and process customs-related adjustments to ensure compliance with regulations.

 

Profile

Job Function:
• Review customs entries, declarations, invoices, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies related to customs duties, taxes, tariffs, valuation, classification, and country-of-origin declarations.
• Prepare and submit customs adjustments, corrections, amendments, and post-entry modifications as required.
• Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to resolve customs-related issues.
• Monitor customs transactions and ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations.
• Analyze customs data and reports to identify trends, errors, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support customs audits by gathering documentation, preparing reports, and responding to information requests.
• Maintain accurate records of customs adjustments, refunds, duty drawbacks, and compliance activities.
• Stay informed of changes in customs laws, tariffs, trade agreements, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing and implementing customs compliance policies and procedures.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in customs compliance, international trade, freight forwarding, or import/export operations.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classifications, valuation principles, and trade compliance requirements.
• Experience working with customs management systems, ERP platforms, and trade compliance software.
• Familiarity with duty drawback programs, customs audits, and post-entry adjustment processes is advantageous.
