About The Position Timor Port S.A, a subsidiary of the AGL Group, is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Yard Supervisor (1 position). The role oversees the full delivery process to ensure smooth delivery to customers and correct and secure process to be applied by all parties. The position works under Shore Handling Manager supervision. The main responsibilities of the role will be: • Assist and controls the customers' deliveries, ensuring that all tasks and procedures are known and applied respecting QHSE measures. • Ensure cargo security. • Support Shore Handling Manager to coordinate with Yard Planner on housekeeping moves from vessel, deliveries operations, ensuring to balance the cranes workload and to ensure smooth deliveries. • Liaise with dispatcher and gate manager on full containers including reefers deliveries.

Eligibility Criteria:  High school diploma or equivalent with minimum of 2 years in port/terminal operations, container yard management, warehousing, or logistics.  Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and maintain QHSE compliance.  Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions and flexible for shift work including weekends and holidays.  Basic computer literacy for basic reporting.  Strong attention to detail and organization skills. This role will be based in Sudan, reporting to the Regional Managing Director, East Africa. DETAILS OF MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Executive Leadership & Strategy Develop and execute the country's strategic plan in alignment with AGL's regional and global objectives. Represent AGL in high-level engagements with government bodies, industry associations, and strategic partners. Monitor and respond to macroeconomic, political, and regulatory developments impacting business operations. Operational Oversight Oversee all departments including Shipping, Sea Freight, Air Freight, Warehousing, and Commercial. Ensure operational efficiency, service quality, and adherence to SOPs across all units. Lead organizational transformation initiatives and drive continuous improvement. Financial Stewardship Full accountability for the country's Profit & Loss (P&L) and financial performance. Present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) to regional leadership and key clients. Approve high-value quotes, tenders, and investment decisions, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation. Administration & Governance Oversee administrative functions including office management, procurement, asset control, and facility maintenance. Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and internal HR policies. Supervise administrative staff and ensure efficient support services across all departments. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits, legal compliance, and internal reporting. Coordinate with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations matters. Talent & Organizational Development Build and lead a high-performing leadership team across Port Sudan and Khartoum. Drive talent development, succession planning, and a culture of accountability and innovation. Evaluate and enhance team capabilities through structured performance management and training. Customer & Market Engagement Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Support commercial teams in strategic negotiations, pricing, and service development. Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and resolution of escalated issues. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure full compliance with local laws, international standards, and AGL's internal policies. Lead internal governance processes including credit committees and customer onboarding. Oversee risk management practices and business continuity planning.
