Key Responsibilities

4.Performance Monitoring, Reporting &amp; Continuous Improvement
• Develop, track, and analyze transport KPIs covering cost, service levels, safety performance, fleet utilization, and productivity. 
• Ensure adherence to approved SOPs for dispatch, routing, journey management, and client communication. 
• Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure operational compliance and efficiency. 
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean transport practices and process optimization.

5. QHSSE Compliance &amp; Safety.
• Enforce strict compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (QHSSE) policies and statutory requirements. 
• Ensure subcontractors comply fully with company HSE standards and contractual obligations. 
• Support sustainability initiatives including fuel reduction, emissions control, eco-driving practices, and environmental protection measures.

6. Client &amp; Stakeholder Management 
Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all transport-related matters
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Operations, Finance, Commercial, and QHSSE teams to align transport activities with business objectives. 
• Support service improvement initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.

7.P&amp;L and Financial Responsibility
• Manage the transport P&amp;L, including monitoring revenues, operating costs, and profitability. 
• Prepare and manage transport budgets, forecasts, and cost-control plans. 
• Implement cost-optimization strategies related to fleet size, fuel usage, maintenance, subcontracting, and route efficiency.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in fleet and transport operations, including managerial responsibility.

2. Truck Inspection &amp; HSE Compliance
• Inspect all vehicles arriving on site to verify compliance with site access requirements and operational standards.
• Verify vehicle condition, load security, lashing quality and overall cargo safety before offloading commences.
• Confirm compliance with PPE requirements and site safety procedures by drivers and transport personnel.
• Report unsafe conditions, non-conformities, near misses and incidents promptly to the Site Operations Supervisor and QHSE team.

3.Offloading Coordination &amp; Site Operations
• Coordinate truck arrivals and offloading schedules with clients, warehouse personnel and operations teams to optimize turnaround time.
• Liaise with the Control Tower and Track &amp; Trace Officer to align vehicle arrivals with site readiness.
• Monitor offloading activities to ensure cargo is handled safely and efficiently.
• Escalate delays, congestion or operational bottlenecks that may affect service delivery.

4 Reporting &amp; Documentation
• Maintain accurate daily records of truck arrivals, departures, cargo received and operational activities.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly receiving reports within agreed timelines.
• Maintain organized records of delivery notes, inspection reports, discrepancy reports and receiving documentation for audit purposes.
